Our latest Lincolnshire Self-Build project is making good progress. Getting out of the ground is always a key stage of any new-build, since one can never be entirely sure what may lurk below the surface. Once out of the ground however, things are usually more predictable.
This project has a lower ground floor which will be built against an embankment which we have formed by excavating the lower level into the slope of the site. The front door of the house is in the upper ground floor storey and will open onto a gravel driveway at high level.
Steel reinforcement for the slab is fixed
The concrete pump arrives to pour the base slab
Concreting of the base slab complete
So it’s onto the next stage and the retaining walls…
